Advent in a Box Pickups

November 27 and 28 - After months of waiting for the world to settle into its new rhythms, it is time to focus on being present. The Deacons and Ed boards have created boxes of devotional materials & fun treats to help us make the season present in our homes.  Deliveries made the following week.

Clothing and Toy Drive


November 23 through December 5 - Partnering with Volunteer Collective, we’ll gather new and lightly used warm clothes (coats, blankets, scarves, shoes, hats) for LAUSD students and families in Boyle Heights. New, unwrapped gifts will also be collected. Collection box in the Sanctuary.

Charlie Brown Christmas Movie Night and Blessing Bags Service Project


Friday, December 3, 6:30 pm on the Patio - Charlie Brown Christmas movie night is back for the whole church! Join us on the patio to enjoy Christmas favorites, roast hot dogs, & make s’mores. We’ll also work together to create blessing bags to share with those who are houseless. 

Confirmation Late-Night


Friday, December 3, 8:30 pm in the Sanctuary -- Confirmands will enjoy some time together, catching up on the fun activities and conversations we missed last year.

Hanging of the Greens

Sunday, December 5,11:00 am in the Sanctuary -- We’ll be decking the halls and our sanctuary after worship. Let us work together to make joy present in our house of worship and in our lives.

Blue Christmas Service 

Together with the UCC congregations of West Hollywood, Mt. Hollywood, & Riverside

Friday, December 10, 7:00 pm in the Sanctuary (Zoom livestream) - Many are carrying the weight of the distance, change, and loss of the past two years. So, we will gather to make space for the sorrow, as well as the joy of this season. Being present with each other in reflection and prayer will open our hearts to God, who is always present with us.

 Christmas Tea

Sunday, December 19, 10:00 am (Zoom livestream) -- Most of our kids will be fully vaccinated by mid-December, so we are thrilled to welcome them back into the Sanctuary for worship. Kids and youth will help lead the service this Sunday, making their presence known with us.

Sunday, December 19, 11:00 am in Ray Hall and/or on the Patio - Our annual Christmas celebration follows the worship service. We’ll enjoy food, fun, and fellowship together.  Join us for a cup of Christmas cheer!

Christmas Eve Service

Thursday, December 24, 7:30 pm in the Sanctuary (Zoom livestream) -- With carols, candles, and communion, we’ll welcome Christmas! We will gather together to welcome the Presence of Christ in our midst.

Laity Sunday

Sunday, December 26, 10:00 am in our Zoom Worship (Online Only) - Our Christmas celebration continues. Larry Trent will keep the depth of the season, as he leads us in worship.
