Pastor Transition
Dear WHCC Church Family,
We know transitions are difficult and saying goodbye to Rev. Kirsten later this spring will be hard for all of us. The Nominating Committee wishes to communicate our next steps so you can feel assured of a smooth process in the coming months. Our church bylaws, the UCC Search and Call structure, and prior experience provide a clear path forward.
Per WHCC bylaws, the Moderator and Church Cabinet will select the interim minister and work with the local UCC Conference on this process.
The Nominating Committee will identify and vet candidates and recommend the slate for the Ministerial Search Committee. The Search Committee will then seek the Church’s next settled minister, also in conjunction with the Conference.
We understand the importance of our responsibilities and the trust you have instilled in us as we move into this next phase of our ministry.
