Children and Youth
Children
are a special part of the Westwood Hills Congregational
UCC family. Our growing Sunday School and childcare services include:
Infant Care Facilities
Infants remain with their parents
during worship. An infant room with changing table, rocking chair and
age-appropriate toys is located at the rear of the Sanctuary. This room
may be used for nursing or play, and has a speaker which will allow you
to hear the service.
Toddler Care
A play-based environment for toddlers 1 to 3
years in age.
Toddler
Care is available from 9:45 AM to 11:30 AM. in the Meeting House
(church building located in the far north end of the church parking
lot). To aid in the transition of little ones, we encourage parents to
drop their toddlers off prior to the Worship Service. Alternatively,
you may accompany them to the care room after the Children’s Moment.
Toddlers also need to be picked-up by their parents from the Meeting
House.
A parent/guardian signature is required at drop-off and pick-up. If you
have a cell phone (with a “silent” option), we will request that number
so that you can be contacted if your child needs you. Otherwise an
on-call volunteer will alert you if you’re needed
Sunday
School Classes
Children and youth attend the first part of worship
with their parents. After the Children’s Moment, they are accompanied
to their classrooms by their teachers. Parents will be reunited with
their children on the Church Patio after their program ends at 11:15

Childcare, including lunch and rest time (for those who need it), will
be provided by paid caregivers in the Meeting House classrooms. Thus,
on Leadership Sundays, all kids in the Sunday School program will end
their class in the Meeting House. Any parent not participating in
